A bit of a change
Lately my wife and I started realize that we need a bit of a change. We were looking at our card table covers the other day and realized that they looked like they were from a decade ago. We’ve always kind of fancied ourselves being on the cutting-edge of home fashion, but I guess we’ve sort of lost our way over the past few years. Now our days are consumed with raising kids and making sure that our retirements accounts are growing steadily, so we just don’t have the free time that we used to.
I was stepping out of the bathroom the other day when I realized that I tore our shower wrap. When I told my wife this she got incredibly mad. I couldn’t for the life me understand why she was yelling so loud, but then she explained that this was a gift from her mom, who had recently passed away. I felt really bad but it was an accident, so I decided to do something nice for her. We went out to dinner to her favorite restaurant and then we swung by the mall to pick up a new lounge chair cover. She really liked it and then she apologized for yelling at me.
